nav1 Each year the American Red Cross responds to more than 70,0000 disasters, including house or apartment fires, floods, hazardous spills, transportation accidents, explosions, and other natural and man made disasters.  

Red Cross Disaster Relief
Our services focus on meeting people's immediate emergency disaster-caused needs. When a disaster strikes, the Red Cross provides:

Shelter
Food
Clothing
Mental Health Services

A Disaster Action Team (DAT), provides immediate disaster relief to individuals and families affected by disaster to enable them to resume their normal daily activities independently.

Volunteers are always needed to assist firefighters and other rescue personnel in times of community crisis.

 
Disaster Volunteer Courses
The Red Cross trains first responders in how to deal with disasters. From CPR to managing care in emergency shelters, professionals turn to the Red Cross for instruction and certification.
